After the huge success that was the Genesis Invitational, The PGA Tour kicks off the first leg of the Florida Swing with The Honda Classic at PGA National. The field in this event isn't nearly as star studded as last week, but that doesn't mean there is a lack of talent. Let's take a look at some players to keep an eye on this week.

  • Sungjae Im (+850) - Coming in ranked at #18 by OWGR, Sungjae is an incredible ball striker with a memorable swing. His takeaway is so slow that it looks like it's a slow-mo replay, then he unwinds all at once and crushes the ball. If you like shot makers, this is your guy. He always hangs around near the top of leaderboards, so in an event like this where a bunch of the top guys are out, Sungjae could emerge victorious.

  • Shane Lowry (+1600) - The Irish big man & 2019 Open Champion is overdue for a win on the PGA Tour, with 3 top-ten finishes last season, including coming in 2nd at The Honda Classic. He's a well rounded player that is extremely dangerous when it all comes together.

  • Billy Horschel (+2800) - He's been on a tough stretch lately, and coming off a missed cut at The Genesis. However, if there was ever a time for Billy to get it going this is as good of a time as any. It's also worth noting, he played some of his best golf during the Florida swing last season, coming in 16th at the Honda and 2nd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Outside of the guys mentioned above, there are a ton of hungry players looking to secure their first win on the PGA Tour and get the coveted exemption that comes along with it. Make no mistake, just because the field isn't quite as strong as the past 2 events, there will be no shortage of excitement.
